Challenges in User research

As non-local researchers in Germany, my project partner and I initially faced difficulties in establishing connections to conduct interviews with elderly participants. Recognizing this challenge, we adopted a proactive problem-solving approach. After brainstorming alternative solutions, we leveraged the neighborhood platform  Nebenan.de , a local community app, to reach out to potential interviewees. Through this strategy, we successfully connected with kind and willing elderly participants, enabling us to gather valuable insights for our research. This experience reinforced our adaptability and ability to navigate obstacles effectively.
